College of Textiles to Demonstrate the ‘New World of Textiles’ at Annual Open House

High school students, parents, teachers and the general public are invited to learn more about the new world of textiles by attending North Carolina State University’s College of Textiles’ annual open house event on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

NC State Police Department Takes Plunge for N.C. Special Olympics

The North Carolina State University Police Department will hold its third annual “Polar Plunge” to raise money for North Carolina  Special Olympics. Police officers and other plungers who have collected at least $50 in donations will jump into Lake Raleigh on NC State’s Centennial Campus at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2.

“K-9 Down” Program Shows Working Dog Handlers How to Save Companions’ Lives

North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) is offering a two-day seminar on Feb. 2-3 as part of a national “K-9 Down” program that instructs working dog handlers and rescue personnel in life-saving procedures for their canine companions.

NC State University Announces 98 Park Scholarships Finalists

North Carolina State University has named 98 students as finalists for the 13th class of Park Scholars. These prestigious awards are valued at about $59,000 for North Carolina residents and $107,000 for out-of-state students.
