Student Nominations Needed

Even though it’s only October, commencement deadlines are approaching. You can help make the ceremony sparkle by nominating outstanding students for special recognition on Dec. 18.

Our friends in the Department of Registration and Records are seeking a student speaker for fall graduation. Any interested graduating senior can apply. Faculty and staff are asked to encourage qualified students to complete the application form, which is available online or in Harris Hall, Room 1008. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18. Applications can be sent to Dr. Louis Hunt, Campus Box 7313, or delivered to 1008 Harris Hall.

Registration and Records is also looking for nominees for its list of interesting graduates. Students who are selected will be mentioned in the chancellor’s commencement speech. You can e-mail the name of a nominee (or two) to Jennifer Carter at jennifer_carter@ncsu.edu. Her deadline is Thursday, Oct. 14.
