Baran Named IEEE Fellow
Dr. Mesut Baran, professor of electrical and computer engineering, has been awarded fellow status by IEEE, the world’s largest association for advancement of technology.
Baran was recognized for developments in analysis, monitoring and control methods for power distribution systems.
He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, and a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
