Here’s the latest information on traffic, parking and Wolfline bus service for President Barack Obama’s visit to campus on Wednesday.

The president is scheduled to speak at 12:55 at Reynolds Coliseum.

Parking

View a map of parking lots.

The Coliseum Deck paylot  will close for general parking at 5 p.m. Tuesday. However, the paylot will be available for VIP and displaced C (employee) permit holders on Wednesday.

Displaced paylot users should use one of the following options:

  • The Carter-Finley park and ride lot, Wolfline bus route 6, with service every 15 minutes
  • Designated parking at Greek Village (near fraternity and sorority houses), Wolfline  route 9

No parking will be allowed Wednesday in the Cates Avenue C spaces in front of Talley Student Center to the Cates Avenue/Morrill Drive intersection.

Portions of Jeter parking lot are reserved today, and the entire Jeter parking lot will be closed and secured on Wednesday.

No parking will be allowed on Morrill Drive after 7 p.m. Tuesday, including RE (resident east) and C (employee) parking. Vehicles parked on Morrill Drive after 7 p.m. will towed to another campus location.

Displaced C permit holders from Jeter lot, Morrill Drive and Cates Avenue are asked to park in the Coliseum Deck paylot (lowest level of the Coliseum Deck) or the West Deck on Sullivan Drive.

Traffic

Morrill Drive will be closed for the president’s arrival and departure. During these times, anyone parking in lots along Morrill Drive (Carmichael Gym and Weisiger-Brown lots) will only be able to leave campus via Western Boulevard.

The Talley loading dock and service lot will close Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Those coming to the event from off campus will be directed to park at the McKimmon Center and Greek Village and ride shuttle buses to the event. (Signs will be in place.)

Bus Service

Wolfline routes will be detoured on Wednesday. No Wolfline buses will serve Dunn Avenue/Jeter Drive, Carmichael Gym or Faucette Drive stops between Morrill Drive and Varsity Drive.

Route 7 (Wolflink Shuttle) and route 3 (Engineering) will serve the campus interior as usual, but will travel Pullen Road to Western Boulevard.

Private apartment shuttle buses are being directed to pick up and drop off passengers on Founders Drive in front of Scott Hall.

Route 2 (Hillsborough Street Shuttle), route 4 (Westgrove) and route 6 (Carter-Finley) are not affected.
