Spooky Stories

Looking for a good ghost story to share on Halloween? What about a scary movie or horror novel that will scare the bejesus out of you?

Read these recommendations from faculty members for plenty of ideas to send chills up your spine. They’re linked to the NCSU Libraries collection so that you can see which of your favorites are available to check out.

If you dare, the libraries have even more ideas to keep you entertained, including these nonfiction titles:

> The Calculus Diaries: How Math Can Help You Lose Weight, Win in Vegas and Survive a Zombie Apocalypse by Jennifer Ouellette
> Malware: Fighting Malicious Code by Ed Skoudis
> If It Bleeds, It Leads: An Anatomy of Television News by Matthew Robert Kerbel

And, for sharing with kids, you can find plenty of choices to share if you dare:

> R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps series
> Hairy Tarantulas, an e-book featuring eye-popping photos
> Nighty-Nightmare by James Howe

Read at your own risk.
