Harms Wins Service Award

Dr. Craig Harms, associate professor of aquatic, wildlife and zoological medicine, received a meritorious service award from Iowa State University.

Harms won the Stange Award, given to alumni in veterinary medicine for outstanding professional achievement. He was cited for contributions in aquatic animal medicine and for mentoring veterinary students.

A scholar, scientist and clinician, Harms shares his expertise among three aquariums in North Carolina, the College of Veterinary Medicine at NC State, and the marine mammal and sea turtle stranding networks of North Carolina. He also serves as president of the American College of Zoological Medicine.
