Advice for Junior Faculty

Learn strategies for setting priorities, preparing a plan of work and working with mentors on Tuesday, March 13 at the Assistant Professors’ Learning Community meeting.

Sign up online, bring a lunch and join the group from 12:25 to 1:15 in the Talley Student Center board room. Bottled water and cookies will be provided.

  • Setting and sticking to priorities: Carol Kasworm, Leadership, Policy, Adult and Higher Education
  • Preparing a plan of work: Frank Buckless, Accounting
  • Selecting and working with faculty mentors: Jim Wilson, Industrial and Systems Engineering

The learning community holds free sessions on research, teaching and other issues of importance to assistant professors, as well as providing an informal way for assistant professors to get to know other faculty with similar interests.
