Sign Up for Flu Shot

State Health Plan members, dependents and retirees can get free flu shots at campus clinics this fall. Sign up online for an appointment. Flu shots are offered at locations across campus through early December. Bring your State Health Plan card and a photo ID to your appointment.

Vaccinations cost $30 (cash or check only) for those who are not covered by the State Health Plan, another Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Carolina plan or Medicare Part B.

To receive a flu shot, children must be at least 4, and those between the ages of 4 and 17 must have a parent or guardian present. Although documentation will not be required, expecting mothers should receive clearance from their health care provider before receiving the vaccine.

If you have any concerns about the side effects of the flu vaccine or whether you should take the shot, consult your physician. Check the Centers for Disease Control website for more flu information.
