Traffic Changes During Homecoming Parade

NCSU Transportation issues the following traffic warnings during the university’s Homecoming Parade, scheduled to begin 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2. The parade travels from the Sullivan Lot to Sullivan Drive, Dan Allen Drive, Hillsborough Street to Pullen Road to Cates Avenue which will be temporarily westbound only until the parade passes. The parade then progresses to Dan Allen Drive to Sullivan Drive and back to the parking lot behind the tennis courts.

Note that Campus Police anticipates closing Hillsborough Street from Dan Allen to Pullen Road between 5:45 to 6 p.m. Campus streets along the parade route will close earlier.

Carpoolers who are normally picked up along Hillsborough Street or along the parade route, should arrange alternative pickup locations as cars will not be allowed on parade route streets.

Transit riders should review the following CAT/TT links. Wolfline will suspend service shortly after 5 p.m. for the duration of the parade; normal evening service resumes immediately after. Additionally, routes traveling Hillsborough Street will not serve the Nelson Hall stop after 4 p.m. in order to accommodate an event at Nelson Hall. Buses will continue serving the Scott Hall and D.H. Hill Library stops, but will enter Founders Drive via Hillsborough Street.  Check TVS for real-time bus locations and updates. NCSU Transportation thanks everybody for their cooperation and school spirit.
