Farm Animal Days

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences throws open the barn doors every spring to thousands of area school children at Farm Animal Days. The event, at the NC State Beef Education Unit, is designed to provide opportunities for kids to interact with farm animals and learn more about agriculture.

Children are welcome to touch a number of different animals, from pigs to newborn chicks, as well as climb on tractors and practice roping with the NC State Rodeo Club. There is a grassy area for picnics and free NC State Howling Cow ice cream.
