10 Spooky Attacks Targeting You

Ever wonder how cyber criminals make money? Attend the “10 Spooky Attacks Targeting You” presentation from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, in Room 126 of the Witherspoon Student Center to find out. You’ll learn how cyber criminals use Web attacks to take control of your accounts and steal your data for profit. More importantly, you’ll learn ways to protect yourself from these attacks and avoid being victimized. Topics will include:

  • Drive-by downloads
  • Ransomware
  • Advanced phishing attacks
  • Medical identity theft
  • Tax return fraud
  • Intellectual property theft
  • Malvertising
  • Password stealing malware
  • Malicious link email
  • Mobile device malware
