Festival Focuses on Digital Humanities

CHAT Festival 2014 brings together researchers, educators, students, artists and professionals to discuss, demonstrate and celebrate new media in the arts and humanities. The biannual event takes place Friday, Feb. 28, in the Hunt Library.

CHAT, short for Collaborations in Humanities, Arts and Technology, is serious about breaking down silos and getting people to work across traditional boundaries. It features participants from NC State’s Circuit Studio, Duke’s Ph.D. Lab and Carolina’s Digital Innovation Lab, among others. This is the first year the festival has been held at NC State.

Faculty and grad students interested in new media, the digital humanities and interdisciplinary collaboration are especially encouraged to attend the free event. Find a schedule of events online.
