Conversations on the Constitution: The Roberts Court and the Future of Constitutional Law

Erwin Chemerinsky, Alston & Bird Professor of Law and Professor of Political Science at Duke University, will discuss "The Roberts Court and the Future of Constitutional Law" at North Carolina State University in honor of Constitution Day on Monday, Sept 17, at 4 p.m. in Winston Hall room 29.

The event is free and open to the public. Winston Hall is located on the northern edge of the Court of the Carolinas on NC State's north campus.

Chemerinsky, named by Legal Affairs as one of "the top 20 legal thinkers in America," frequently argues appellate cases, including in the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Courts of Appeals. He has testified many times before congressional and state legislative committees, including as a witness before the Senate Judiciary Committee on the hearings of Samuel Alito for confirmation to the Supreme Court. Chemerinsky joined the faculty at Duke in 2004 after 21 years at the University of Southern California.

Held yearly, NC State's "Conversation on the Constitution" celebrates the anniversary of the Sept. 17, 1788, signing of the U.S. Constitution.
