Clark/Thompson Theatre "DE" lot closes Oct. 1
The small Clark lot near Thompson Theatre (approximately 18 "DE" resident student parking spaces) will be closed beginning Monday, Oct. 1, for the duration of the Thompson Theater project. This lot closure was factored into the number of "DE" resident permits sold; there is other parking space available within the "DE" zone.
Broughton Drive closed Wednesday, Oct. 3
Broughton Drive will be closed from 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, through Wednesday, Oct. 3. Faculty and staff will be allowed access to park on Broughton Drive until 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. No access to Broughton Drive will be permitted after 9 a.m. on Wednesday. During the closure, motorists should exit campus via Current Drive to Hillsborough Street. Stinson Drive will remain open at all times.
1911 parking lot closed for paving beginning Thursday, Oct. 4
Paving is scheduled to begin Thursday, Oct. 4. The lot, located between Daniels Hall and the 1911 Building, will be closed for approximately one week. Three accessible spaces have been permanently relocated to Current Drive (near Park Shops). Additional accessible spaces are planned for this lot as part of the repaving project. To request additional temporary accessible parking spaces during the lot closure, contact Timothy Tresohlavy at 515-1610.
Note: Culbreth Drive also will be closed after 9 a.m. Vehicles may still park, but will exit via Hillsborough Street.
Yarbrough Drive road closure, Monday, Oct. 8 - Monday Oct. 15
Yarbrough Drive will be closed at the curve behind Riddick Labs while contractors connect chilled water lines. Signs will be in place directing "no through traffic." Mann and Yarbrough lots will remain open with temporary two-lane traffic allowing access to the lots. The work will continue through fall break with Yarbrough Drive scheduled to reopen by Monday, Oct. 15, weather permitting. The Wolfline Rt. 7 Wolflink Shuttle will be detoured via Hillsborough Street, and Rt. 3 Engineering will be detoured via the Pullen Road roundabout -- with a temporary stop at Brooks Hall -- during the Yarbrough Drive closure.
Carmichael Gym final occupancy inspection, Monday, Oct. 8
Once final approval is received, approximately 46 "C" spaces will be returned for use.
Possible Stinson Drive traffic impacts/ lane shifts Oct. 11 and 12
The Math and Statistics project may need to shift traffic or close lanes of Stinson Drive on Thursday, Oct. 11, and Friday, Oct. 12. Dates are tentative; more information will follow as it becomes available.
