Students from two North Carolina State University colleges will present their seventh annual fashion show, "Art to Wear 2008." Some of the 16 student designers are members of the Anni Albers program – a dual-degree program in design and textile technology. The show's themes will include recyclable garments, hand-woven and hand-dyed fabrics, emphasizing ready-to-wear fashions that showcase the designers' artistic flare.
The event is sponsored by the College of Textiles and the College of Design. Faculty advisors are Dr. Cynthia L. Istook, associate professor of textile and apparel technology and management and Professor Lope Max Diaz, associate professor in art and design. "Art to Wear" is also supported by local businesses, individual donors, and foundations.
