FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

North Carolina native and American Idol alum Chris Daughtry will kick off North Carolina State University’s homecoming weekend celebration with a performance at the 4th annual Pack Howl Pep Rally and Concert. The show will be held at Reynolds Coliseum on Friday, Nov. 3, with the pep rally starting at 8 p.m. and the concert starting at 9:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the NC State Alumni Association.

Homecoming weekend festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with the annual homecoming parade on Hillsborough Street. Afterward, fans will get a chance to get pumped up for the big game by showing their “Pack Pride” at the pep rally featuring Wolfpack football coach Chuck Amato. The NC State Marching Band, cheerleaders and dance team will perform and local radio personality Mike Morse will emcee the event. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the concert will immediately follow the rally.

“We are extremely excited about having Chris Daughtry perform at the concert and are looking forward to a great turnout,” said Brooklyn Winters, director of special interest and campus programs for the NC State Alumni Association. “All of the activities add to the pageantry of Homecoming, and we are anticipating an unforgettable weekend.”

All seating is general admission and a sell-out crowd is expected. Fans are encouraged to get tickets as soon as possible. Admission is $10 for students with valid NC State ID, $15 for NC State Alumni Association Members, and $20 for the general public. Tickets may be purchased online at www.alumni.ncsu.edu/homecoming.

Live coverage of the Homecoming parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. on WolfBytes channel 85 and on the WolfBytes Web site (click “watch” on the WolfBytes logo).
