NC State to Partner With Volvo Group

North Carolina State University will become a preferred academic talent partner of the Volvo Group, affording students experience- and career-building opportunities with the global automotive manufacturer, including co-ops, internships and mentorships.

On Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 2:30 p.m., Volvo executives will hold an open house at NC State’s Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center at 850 Oval Drive on Centennial Campus. Students will learn more about the partnership, the company and the opportunities afforded by the partnership. Media coverage of the remarks is invited. Interviews with NC State and Volvo Group executives will be available.

The agreement, which improves the prospective talent pool for Volvo Group, will be formalized during a signing ceremony on Tuesday. NC State Provost Warwick Arden will sign the memorandum of understanding with Kerstin Renard, Volvo’s executive vice president of human resources.

NC State is one of only seven universities worldwide to participate in Volvo’s Preferred Talent Partnership Program.
