Giving Thanks

Omar Acosta ('14) has dreamed of being a doctor since he was a child. As he began to narrow down his college choices, NC State moved to the top of the list - despite not having a medical school on campus. Now, Acosta says, he's on course to realize his dream - thanks to the university's unique interdisciplinary approach to education and the overwhelming support offered to Bone Scholars like himself.

Promising Future

Political science major Ericka Aiken will graduate with no debt, armed with a slew of offers from some of the nation's top law schools. She, along with 84 of her fellow graduates, is part of the inaugural class of NC State's Pack Promise program, which guarantees qualifying students 100 percent of financial aid requirements.

Helping Those Who Need it Most

At a time when families are more worried than ever about the cost of college, NC State‚Äôs Pack Promise is helping approximately 1,000 new and continuing students get the education of their dreams. For families with limited financial resources, Pack Promise covers up to nine semesters of college, using a combination of scholarships, grants, federal work-study jobs and need-based loans of no more than $2,500 per year.

Yellow Ribbon Campus

NC State is participating in the Yellow Ribbon Program, a dollar-for-dollar matching program that will supplement the existing G.I. Bill and give veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan the opportunity to join the Wolfpack family this fall.
