Award Trumpets Libraries Web Site

The NCSU Libraries Web site received a Cutting Edge Technology Service Award from the American Library Association.

Because NC State was the only academic library to win a 2011 award, it’s been hard to keep it quiet. Feel free to pass along congratulations.

The award recognizes libraries for serving their communities with novel and innovative methods.

NC State revamped the site just four months ago. Since its launch at the start of the fall semester, average searches per day are up 56 percent and average clicks have climbed 79 percent compared to fall 2009.

Last year the NCSU Libraries won an ALA Cutting Edge Service award for the Library Course Tools project.
