Nominate a Colleague for Larkins Award

If you know an NC State employee who’s helping improve human and race relations in the workplace or community, nominate your colleague for the 2012 John R. Larkins Award.

The award is given each year to a state government employee who best exemplifies the deeds of Dr. John R. Larkins in human and race relations.

Wednesday, Dec. 14 is the deadline to nominate an NC State colleague. Nominees must be permanent state government employees with a minimum of two years of service. Send the completed nomination form to Rob Stevenson at Campus Box 7215 or drop it off in suite 200 of the Administrative Services II building.

The Larkins Award presentation and State Employees’ Martin Luther King  Jr. Day Observance are scheduled for Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at the First Baptist Church, 99 N. Salisbury Street, in Raleigh. If you’re interested in joining the State Employees Choir, email Lloyd Inman at lloyd.inman@ncdenr.gov. Questions? Contact the Office of Citizen and Faith Outreach at 733-5201.
