Matney Receives Education Award

Susan Matney received the 2012 Alvah K. Borman Award, one of the top awards presented by the Cooperative Experiential Education Division (CEED) of the American Society for Engineering Education.

Matney has been a member of ASEE/CEED since 1989, and has served in many leadership roles. She has served as division chair and is currently serving as the CEED secretary. In 2009 she served as the board chair for the Conference for Industry and Education Collaboration (CIEC). She has supported the ASEE annual meeting in various capacities for many years and has presented at numerous conferences at the state, regional and national levels.

Matney has dedicated the majority of her professional career to promoting the ideals of cooperative education. Most importantly, she has been a friend to students, employers and other administrators in the cooperative engineering education community.
