Orientation Shifts to Onboarding Center

New employee orientation is getting a facelift and a new home in June, when the staff in NC State’s new Onboarding Center takes over management of the information sessions from Training and Organizational Development.

Orientation will now be held in the Joyner Visitor Center, and will include a guided bus tour of campus and lunch in a dining hall to help introduce new faculty and staff to the university. Other changes include a new schedule that divides orientation into two parts and an online option for some employees.

For more information about new employee orientation, visit the Onboarding Center website. For a complete list of upcoming orientation sessions, download a schedule.

The Onboarding Center, located inside the Joyner Visitor Center off Western Boulevard, is the first Business Operations Center that’s now up and running. The manager, Amy Grubbs, formerly worked in human resources as assistant director of employment services.
