Canine Influenza: What Causes It

Canine influenza is a highly contagious virus that can cause “kennel cough,” pneumonia and, in some rare cases, death in dogs of all ages and breeds.

While none of the available vaccines that combat the organisms that cause it are 100 percent effective, they can decrease the severity of the symptoms and help stop the spread of the organisms.

Learn more about how to prevent this dangerous disease with this information from NC State’s College of Veterinary Medicine.
