New Employee Tour Spotlights Eastern N.C.

NC State Gateway

New employees are encouraged to sign up for a two-day tour of Rocky Mount, Wilson and Goldsboro, North Carolina, scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Oct. 10 and 11. The trip is a scaled-down version of an annual statewide tour, “Connecting in North Carolina,” that NC State launched in 1995 to showcase the impact of its teaching, research and extension throughout the state.

This year’s tour sites will feature agriculture, education, design, manufacturing, disaster recovery and the military. It is designed to help participants gain a broader understanding of NC State’s work outside Raleigh.

The tour is open to new faculty and/or EHRA professionals who have worked on the NC State campus for less than seven years. Please contact your dean if you’d like to participate. There is a $50 fee (paid for by your department) to attend, and registration is required. Twenty-nine spots are available, and participants are submitted for consideration through each dean.
