Fall Wellness Day Is Tomorrow

Chancellor Kevin Howell shares a message reminding the campus community to take care of themselves and check in with friends and colleagues.

Good morning,

Tomorrow is a scheduled wellness day, and it’s a good opportunity to take the time to evaluate how you’re doing ahead of the midpoint of the semester. There will be no classes, and faculty are encouraged to avoid any deadlines tomorrow, Sept. 16, or deadlines or tests on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

In my August message to you, I talked about the importance of connections and the value they bring to our community and our world. However you choose to spend your wellness day, I encourage you to check in with yourself, your friends and colleagues. And please take advantage of the many wellness and support resources available to you as a member of the Pack.

Wellness looks different for each of us, so whether you choose to get a little extra sleep, enjoy a good book or get coffee with a friend, I hope you take some time for yourself tomorrow. Our Pack is stronger when we take care of ourselves and each other.

Thank you,

Kevin Howell
Chancellor
