Physiology Society Honors Moeser
Dr. Adam Moeser, assistant professor of swine health and production, will speak in San Diego as winner of a national award from the American Physiology Society (APS).
Moeser, recipient of the 2012 Takeda Travel Award, had the top-scoring abstract in the junior faculty category for the APS Gastrointestinal and Liver Physiology section. The award is based on a competitive ranking of research abstracts submitted to Experimental Biology 2012, a multidisciplinary meeting of the life sciences April 21-25 in San Diego, where Moeser will give a talk and make a poster presentation.
Moeser’s research focuses on understanding how intestinal diseases are impacted by psychological stress. The research he will present deals with the interaction between stress mediators and immune cell function in the gut.
