Great Decisions Program Returns to NC State
What:North Carolina State University will once again participate in the Great Decisions Program during the 2008 spring semester. Developed by the Foreign Policy Association in 1954, Great Decisions brings millions of Americans together in communities across the country to discover, discuss and decide their opinions on foreign policy issues. The program at NC State will focus on four different topics regarding current U.S. foreign policy.
Who:Presented by the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS).
When:All public lectures start at 7 p.m.
- Tuesday, Jan. 29 – The European Union at 50 and Turkey, Dr. George Harris, former director, Office of Analysis, U.S. State Department Bureau of Intelligence & Research
- Tuesday, Feb. 5 – Iraq End-Game, Dr. Ron Johnson, executive vice president, International Development Group, Research Triangle International (RTI)
- Tuesday, Feb. 12 – Talking to Our Enemies: Cross Cultural Communication Strategies, Clark Plexico, president, International Strategies, Inc.
- Tuesday, Feb. 19 – U.S. Defense and Security Policy, John Stillion, senior policy researcher, RAND Corporation
Where:All public lectures will take place in the Withers Hall auditorium (room 232A) on the NC State campus.
