Building a Legacy

Legacy Lunch welcomes new students who are making NC State a family tradition. Attendees enjoy a break on move-in day with a barbecue lunch, music by NC State’s Marching Band, the Power Sound of the South and participate in a special “pinning” ceremony with their relatives.

“The parents and the grandparents who sent their children and grandchildren back to this institution really are sort fo the heart of the Wolfpack family,” NC State chancellor Jim Woodward said.

Legacy Lunch is a part of NC State’s Wolfpack Welcome Week, which offers incoming students an opportunity to experience and explore campus life through social events, service events, and more.
