Who’s Howling Now?

Momentum is building at the midpoint of the “Wolfpack Gives Back” campaign for charity. In the first three weeks, more than 1,700 faculty and staff have given $303,000 to the State Employees Combined Campaign.

This year’s goal is a 50 percent participation rate. Four units have surpassed that mark so far:

• College of Education: 50.26 percent
• Graduate School: 58.82 percent
• Undergraduate Academic Programs: 60.81 percent
• University Advancement: 68.8 percent

But there’s still more to do to meet the goal. The overall participation rate is just under 20 percent.

To keep things moving, see if you can start a friendly rivalry. Challenge another college or unit. You can track participation rates and totals by unit on the Wolfpack Gives Back Web site.

If you haven’t turned in your pledge form yet, here’s some added motivation, aside from the joy of giving and the thrill of competition. You could win fabulous prizes, like NC State clothing, free coffee, a round of golf or even a parking pass.
