In Memoriam: Gail Ettinger Bianchi

Gail Ettinger Bianchi, who worked in NC State’s College of Textiles for nearly 30 years, died Nov. 14 in Raleigh at age 63.

A family memorial will be held in Middleburg, Pa.

Bianchi moved to North Carolina in 1972 to work as a secretary in the College of Textiles. After 28 years of service, she retired in 2000.

A cancer survivor, Bianchi had a zest for life. She supported social and environmental causes. Her interests included music, reading, caring for animals, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Ettinger of Middleburg, Pa; a brother, Wayne Ettinger of Williamsport, Pa.; a sister, Julia Crissman of Hagerstown, Md.; a son, Mike Bianchi of Raleigh; and many extended family members and friends.
