Join the Skeleton Crew
To raise $10,000 to reconstruct the skeleton of a bottle-nosed dolphin, NC State’s Center for Marine Sciences and Technology (CMAST) is inviting supporters to join the Skeleton Crew.
Donors can choose from 275 bones, which range in price from $12 to $750. Curious? Visit www.skeleton-crew.org.
Once all the bones are sponsored, CMAST will display the skeleton in the two-story lobby of its facility in Morehead City.
The center’s director, Dr. David Eggleston, says the reconstructed skeleton will be an important teaching and educational tool.
