Handfield Honored for Research Article

Professor Robert Handfield was honored for co-writing one of the top 50 research articles to appear in leading management publications since 2007.

Handfield received an Emerald Citation of Excellence for an article on supply chain risk management. He was honored at the Academy of Management’s annual meeting in San Antonio.

Handfield is the Bank of America University Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management and co-director of the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative in Poole College. His co-authors are Dr. Christopher W. Craighead of Auburn, Dr. Jennifer Blackhurst of Iowa State and Dr. M. Johnny Rungtusanatham of the University of Minnesota.

The article, “The Severity of Supply Chain Disruptions: Design Characteristics and Mitigation Capabilities,” is available through the Emerald Management Review.
