NC State Honored for Guard, Reserve Support

NC State’s commitment to the military was front at center at the campus Veterans Day ceremony.

Along with the iconic Belltower, a memorial to War War I soldiers, and a track record of producing generals, NC State is known for helping employees serve in the Guard and Reserve.

The university received the Patriot Award and Above and Beyond Award from the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve organization earlier this year.

The Patriot Award is given to employers that practice leadership and have personnel policies that support employee participation in the Guard and Reserve.

NC State was one of 58 employers to receive the Above and Beyond Award, given to the top 10 percent of employers in the state that have provided support for military duty by their employees.
