Help Set a Record for Generosity

Would you like to help NC State set a record for helping others? The Wolfpack Gives Back effort is $1,557 from an all-time record for charitable donations to the State Employees Combined Campaign, according to Nevin Kessler, advisory board chair.

In a campus email, Nessler thanked faculty and staff for raising $577,892 this year, just shy of last year’s $579,448. “I couldn’t be prouder of the Wolfpack community for its outpouring of charitable giving.”

Surpassing the 2010 donation total would place NC State among a handful of schools in the University of North Carolina system: East Carolina University, Fayetteville State, N.C. Central, N.C. School of Math and Science, UNC-Chapel Hill and UNC Health Care. Other record-setting possibilities include raising an additional $5,794 to tie UNC Chapel Hill’s rate of increase or donating $13,145 to top it.

“No matter where we end up, we beat Carolina anyway, as 34 percent of our employees participated in our campaign versus 22 percent for the Tar Heels,” Nessler said.

Pledge forms will be accepted through noon on Friday, Dec. 23 (details below). Online donations can be made through Dec. 31.

Completed pledge forms should be dropped off in Room 16 of Holladay Hall by noon on Friday. Or, you can fax or email a scanned form to Hilda Renfrow with University Advancement. Her email is hjrenfro@ncsu.edu and her fax number is 515-7612.
