Reiman’s Retirement Reception Dec. 14
Friends and colleagues of Evelyn Reiman, associate vice chancellor for Student Affairs, are invited to her retirement reception from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14 in the Walnut Room of Talley Student Center. Cards for Reiman’s memory book are welcome. Send them to Campus Box 7304 by Tuesday, Dec. 13 to have them included.
Reiman will retire Jan. 1 after more than 30 years with NC State. Last week she was honored with a student government resolution, the Evelyn Q. Reiman Appreciation Act, to thank her for her leadership and vision.
Reiman created the Center for Student Leadership, Ethics and Public Service and played a leading role in creating many student centers, including the Women’s Center, Multicultural Student Affairs and the GLBT Center.
She joined NC State in 1979 as the director of new student orientation and became director of student development in 1984. She was promoted to vice chancellor of Student Affairs in 1996.
