Integrating Your Research

The Office of Faculty Development (OFD) hosts two workshops this month.

“Overcoming obstacles to active learning,” runs Thursday, Sept. 20, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and again Friday, Sept. 21, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the OFD conference room. This workshop is designed to help professors who want to implement active learning in the classroom and overcome potential roadblocks to active learning. This workshop also fulfills the active learning requirement of the Certificate of Reflective Teaching program.

On Monday, Sept. 24, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., in the OFD conference room, come hear Andrew Fox, assistant professor of landscape architecture, discuss the innovative ways he has integrated his work into his teaching and research. Read more about his projects here.
