NCSU Libraries Honors Pioneers in Technology and Design

Two professors were recently awarded the 24th annual NCSU Libraries Faculty Award for their pioneering work in the new Hunt Library.  Timothy Buie, associate professor of industrial design and Michael Young, professor of computer science, led an advanced capstone course in design and computer engineering. Students were tasked with developing an innovative video game scaled to the giant video walls in the Hunt Library. The students also tackled how users will interact with such a novel space and unique library, providing plans on how to design the Hunt Library “experience.” The new library space opens on Jan. 2.
