New Development Chief Named

Laurie Reinhardt-Plotnik has been named associate vice chancellor for university development and vice president for development of the NC State University Foundation, Inc. She will begin work on March 4.

Vice Chancellor Nevin Kessler made the announcement today.

Reinhardt-Plotnik has over 20 years of experience in development and development management.  She currently serves as associate vice president for development at Rutgers University, where she manages the fundraising programs for the School of Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School New Brunswick, and the School of Communication and Information. Rutgers is in the midst of a $1 billion campaign.

She previously led development programs at the University of Miami, School of Nursing and Health Studies, and nonprofit arts and humanities organizations in Miami, New York and Research Triangle Park. She is no stranger to North Carolina, having completed her Ph.D. in musicology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also has an MBA from the University of Miami, and a master’s degree from the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester.
