Hanck Honored for Service
NC State’s Department of Chemistry honored assistant head professor Kenneth W. Hanck for his 43 years of service to the university by dedicating the Dabney 210 conference room in his name. Hanck is the director of facilities for the department’s analytical chemistry lab.
Department chair Christopher Gorman officiated the July 31 event while associate chair Laura Sremaniak spoke about Hanck’s many career accomplishments.
Hanck is a 1964 graduate of Illinois State University, who received a master’s degree (1967) and a doctorate (1969) from the University of Illinois.
He was a 1980 Fulbright Scholar.
