Phi Kappa Phi Criteria Announced

N.C. State’s chapter of the national honor society Phi Kappa Phi, which recognizes and promotes academic achievement in all disciplines for undergraduate and graduate students, has announced its academic criteria for spring nomination.

  • Seniors: top 10 percent of class, 3.821 GPA with at least 45 NC State credit hours.
  • Juniors: top 7.5 percent of class, 3.917 GPA with at least 45 NC State credit hours.
  • Graduate students: 4.0 GPA, with no grades less than an A-, minimum of 18 letter-graded NC State graduate hours, no grades of U, NR, or IN. If IN or LA grades later clear and the student becomes eligible, contact David Shafer.

DVM students:

  • Fourth year, top 10 percent of class, 4.0 GPA.
  • Third year, top 7.5% of class, 4.0 GPA.

Deans have received lists of eligible students, and students have been invited to join. If you are aware of any eligible undergrads who have not been invited to join, contact Grace Finkle at 513-1846 or glfinkle@ncsu.edu.

The honor society’s induction ceremony will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, in the Piedmont/Mountain Ballroom in the Talley Student Union. Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend.
