Tour Highlights NC State’s Impact

New employees are encouraged to sign up for a one-day tour of Lenoir County, scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 11. The trip is a scaled-down version of an annual statewide tour, called “Connecting in North Carolina,” that the university launched in 1995 to showcase the impact of its teaching, research and extension.

This year’s tour will feature several sites in Kinston, N.C.

The tour is designed to help participants gain a broader perspective of NC State’s work outside of Raleigh and is open to new faculty and/or EPA professionals who have been on campus for less than seven years.

There is a $25 fee to attend and registration is required by July 24. Twenty-nine seats are available on the bus on a first come, first served basis.

A registration form is available online.
