Throw a Fast Pitch at Entrepalooza

The NC State Entrepreneurship Initiative is hosting the inaugural Entrepalooza entrepreneurship and innovation festival from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at the Oval on Centennial Campus.

Entrepalooza will give students a chance to learn about the wide variety of entrepreneurship and innovation opportunities at NC State. An Innovation Lab will present live demonstrations of NC State innovations, and attendees can enjoy games, prizes and free food during the festival.

Students can also enter the Minute to Win It pitch competition for a chance to win $1,000. You get one minute to pitch your idea, and the audience picks the winner, so bring a friend (or three). The competition kicks off at 7 p.m., and current degree-seeking NC State students can enter online.

Exhibitors at the festival will present information about entrepreneurship-related programs. To sign up to be an exhibitor at Entrepalooza, fill out the form online.

The Entrepreneurship Initiative will run a free shuttle to the festival from the Talley Student Union. Pick-up starts at 5:15 p.m., and the last drop-off after the event is 8:15 p.m. If you’re driving to Entrepalooza, park at the Oval West Deck next to the Hunt Library on Centennial Campus (parking is free after 5 p.m.) and follow the signs to the festival.
