Global Funding RFPs Sought
The Office of International Affairs is seeking requests for proposals for two different funding opportunities to advance NC State’s internationalization priorities. All faculty and staff can submit proposals that promote global scholarship and research to address complex global challenges.
The deadline for both funding initiatives is Dec. 11 at 5 p.m.
OIA awards up to $5,000 in internationalization seed grants for strategic and intentional international collaborations anywhere in the world. Details for the RFP are available online.
It also awards up to $6,000 for a strategic initiative for collaboration with partners in East Africa. Eligible countries include Burundi, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda. Details for the RFP are available online.
Faculty and staff interested in collaborating on projects in the East African region are invited to attend an informal networking reception designed to connect individuals interested in working together on larger cross-disciplinary initiatives. The reception is slated for Thursday, Oct. 29, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the Global Training Initiative Office at Venture II, Suite 450 (920 Main Campus Dr. on Centennial Campus).
For more information about either program, contact the Office of International Affairs at international-affairs@ncsu.edu.
