Rock ‘N’ Roll Races Through Campus

Just a reminder: The Raleigh Rock ‘N’ Roll marathon and half-marathon will be held on Sunday, as well as a 5K race near Centennial Campus on Saturday morning, so don’t be surprised if the western half of Raleigh is overrun with runners.
More than 2,000 racers are expected on Saturday for the 5K at the Dorothea Dix Park adjacent to Centennial Campus. Some 5,000 runners representing all 50 states have signed up for Sunday’s half-marathon and 1,200 are expected for the full marathon, both of which go through portions of campus and major streets adjacent to campus.
The races will include 28 live music stages with 38 musical acts performing.
Parking along the race route is prohibited and cars will be towed at the owners’ expense. “No parking” signs and digital sign boards have already been posted throughout Centennial Campus and other parts of the race routes.
