Following a nationwide search, Chancellor Randy Woodson has appointed Charles Maimone to the position of vice chancellor for finance and administration. He’ll join NC State on Sept. 30, pending Board of Trustees approval.
As leader of the Office of Finance and Administration, Maimone will direct the university’s business operations, from overseeing NC State’s operating budget to managing transportation, facilities, human resources, emergency and safety operations, and more.
“I am pleased to welcome Charlie to the Wolfpack and am confident that he will help lead NC State to even greater levels of success,” Woodson says.
Maimone currently serves as vice chancellor for business affairs and chief financial officer at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, where he has worked since 2014. He previously served in similar leadership positions at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and the College of William and Mary.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in education from Kent State University, as well as an MBA from the College of William and Mary.
