Nearly 6,200 students will graduate from NC State virtually as the university postpones commencement ceremonies due to COVID-19.

NC State will confer degrees on 6,192 students – 112 associate’s, 4,180 bachelor’s, 1,606 master’s, 195 doctoral and 100 doctor of veterinary medicine degrees. With the 3,585 degrees conferred last December, NC State will award a total of 9,777 degrees during the 2019-20 academic year.

Chancellor Randy Woodson will congratulate graduates with a video message, and individual colleges will hold virtual celebrations and send messages from leadership and faculty.

Starting Friday, May 8 the NC State homepage will highlight hundreds of graduating students from across the university and its colleges and units. That collection will include extensive user-submitted content, student profiles, original video pieces featuring student narratives and other content.

NC State will hold a commencement ceremony for spring 2020 graduates when it is safe to do so.
