After a most unusual and challenging year, NC State’s class of 2020 got to turn their tassels together (while wearing face coverings) during an Aug. 28 ceremony at William Neal Reynolds Coliseum.

The celebration — which honored the spring, summer and fall graduates — followed a virtual commencement held in December 2020 to confer degrees.

Cindy Eckert, founder and CEO of The Pink Ceiling, an investment organization supporting companies made by and for women, addressed the graduates. The celebration also included remarks from alumni and university leaders. Watch the event recording here.

The class of 2020 includes more than 9,100 graduates, who earned 6,104 bachelor’s degrees, 2,755 master’s degrees, 532 doctorates, 152 associate’s degrees and 100 Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees. Some students graduated with more than one degree.
