This year's State Employees Combined Campaign aims to help charities overcome COVID-19 impacts.

The annual State Employees Combined Campaign (SECC) kicked off Oct. 12 and ends Dec. 31. Over the 35-year lifetime of the SECC, North Carolina’s state employees have contributed more than $118 million to a variety of charitable organizations.

This year, amidst COVID-19 and the current economic crisis, charities are experiencing an increased demand for services.

“NC State is proud to partner with the SECC for this year’s campaign,” says NC State Athletics Director Boo Corrigan. “As the university campaign leader, I want to encourage each of you to consider making a pledge through SECC. Every donation has the power to make a significant difference. Together, our donations are making an incredibly positive impact in our local, national, and global communities.”

Many university-affiliated organizations are included among the 851 charities in this year’s choices. For more information about available options – and to find your favorite charity – visit www.ncsecc.org.

If you make a donation between Oct. 15 and Dec. 17, you’ll be entered into a drawing for one of five $25 Amazon gift cards.

All university employees should have received an email from the SECC to contribute through payroll deduction or with credit card, check or cash donations. The campaign video also offers helpful information.

The SECC is open to all permanent, temporary and student employees. All payroll-deducted contributions will begin with the January 2022 paycheck.
