The Class of 2025, by the Numbers
More than 6,800 students will turn their tassels at NC State's spring commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 3.

On Saturday, May 3, North Carolina State University will welcome more than 6,800 graduates to the ranks of its alumni at its spring commencement ceremony. The event begins at 9 a.m. at Carter-Finley Stadium. Media coverage is invited. Credentialed media interested in attending should contact Lauren Barker at lauren_barker@ncsu.edu with any questions.
NC State will confer 7,234 degrees at the ceremony, including 5,079 bachelor’s, 1,783 master’s, 306 doctoral and 66 associate degrees. Many of our graduates will receive multiple degrees.

This semester’s graduating class represents 59 countries and 43 states. The class includes 1,268 first-generation students, 98 veterans and 828 international students. More than 3,200 graduates will receive their degrees with honors, including 1,355 summa cum laude, 962 magna cum laude and 916 cum laude. The class also includes 51 student-athletes, 30 Caldwell Fellows, 45 Park Scholars, 88 Goodnight Scholars, 334 University Scholars and 244 University Honors students.

Adm. Daryl Caudle, commander of the United States Fleet Forces and NC State alumnus, will deliver the commencement address. Caudle is returning to the university forty years after earning his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at NC State in 1985, and will receive an honorary degree during Saturday’s ceremony. Terrica Lewis, a U.S. Navy veteran who is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in communication, will also address spring graduates.
