Welcome to Spring 2026, Wolfpack
Chancellor Kevin Howell encourages students, faculty and staff to connect with our campus community as a new semester begins.
Good morning, Wolfpack community,
Welcome to the first day of the spring 2026 semester. Whether you are returning from a well-deserved winter break or stepping onto campus for the first time, today marks a fresh start full of possibilities. Each semester brings opportunities to meet new people, learn new things and better connect with the community around you.
Students, as you start classes, I encourage you to embrace all of the resources available to you. Here are a few key areas to explore:
- The Academic Success Center provides a variety of free resources to support your academics and goals, including career counseling, writing consults, drop-in tutoring, peer mentoring and more.
- The Division of Academic and Student Affairs provides many ways to get involved, including hundreds of student-led organizations.
- The Pack Essentials program provides support for students who need assistance with food, housing or finances. Students can fill out a common application via MyPack Portal to access resources.
- Wellness and Recreation hosts a variety of recreation, fitness and wellness opportunities, including group classes and wellness coaching services for students and employees.
- Our Wolfpack Wellness website provides an overview of ways to get and stay connected, and our Counseling Center is here to support your mental health and well-being.
Faculty and staff, please remember you have access to the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, which provides free and confidential support, resources and information for personal and work-life issues. University Human Resources also provides various opportunities throughout the year to support your holistic health.
This semester, I encourage you all to embrace what it means to be a part of the Pack. As a leading research institution, we truly live our mantra of Think and Do. Every day across campus, the state of North Carolina and beyond, our faculty, staff and students are exploring big ideas and new ways of working together. This community is one that’s dedicated to solutions that serve the greater good, and you’re an important part of that mission.
There is no limit to what we can accomplish when we work together. I can’t wait to see what we achieve in the months ahead.
Thank you, and go Pack!
Kevin Howell
Chancellor
